****AMG 'This LP was vibraphonist DAVE PIKE'ssecond recording as a leader. Pike isjoined by bassist Herbie Lewis, drummerWalter Perkins, and most notably pianistBILL EVANS. It was one of the pianist'sfirst sessions after the tragic death of hisbassist, Scott LaFaro, and gives listenersa rare opportunity to hear Evans this latein his career as a sideman. The musicis fairly spontaneous. An excellent ifgenerally overlooked straight-ahead set.'(Scott Yanow)
