TL;DR is internet slang for ‘too long; didn’t read’ – and an expression of apathy in a digital age, where the constant flow of information has made us unable to process text pieces longer than what can fit in a SoMe text. This is the reality in which SYL's second album exists.

TLDR is a thoroughly political work inspired by propaganda from various periods in world history. On the album, SYL grapples with some of the problems that modern late-capitalist society has created for us humans: ideological division, growing inequality, climate collapse, a mental health crisis, and increasing misinformation.

SYL has roots in hardcore, but on TLDR, the band combines this background with inspiration from a wide range of other music genres such as EDM, pop, and indie rock. This is clearly expressed through the various collaborators SYL has worked with on the album, including Honningbarna, Sivas, Karoline Funder, Østen, and EYES.
