Heart of Gold - The Songs of Neil Young - Vol. 2 & Vol. 3

Neil Young's exceptional song catalog is celebrated on two new "Heart of Gold" tribute albums: Out of the Blue (Vol. 2) and Into The Black (Vol. 3). Each album collects 12 newly recorded interpretations of the legendary Canadian songwriter's music, delivered by an impressive array of artists from rock, folk, americana, and alternative music.

Among the contributors are Modest Mouse, Lucinda Williams, My Morning Jacket, LP, Kurt Vile, MJ Lenderman, Ann Wilson, and many others.

The Heart of Gold releases are part of a larger charity project that Neil Young and his then-wife Pegi Young founded in 1986. The organization works to improve communication and educational opportunities for people with severe physical disabilities and communication challenges. All participating artists have donated their recordings to the project, and the proceeds from the release go to the organization's work.
