In this modern era, family expenditures and cost of living have increased substantially together with other matters related to family requirements. These phenomenons have contributed to the participation of women in the workforce. The increases of women in the workforce however have not result a huge shift on their household responsibilities. Women even those employed full time remains a central figure duty of care and food preparation as food plays an important part in the production of family identities and preparation of home cooking is part of the communication of devotional love to family. This monograph highlights the empirical investigation on the routine of cooking among Malaysian working women.
