Thomas Martin's life was devolving from dreary to dreadful. Failure in his chosen career path, coupled with overwhelming personal loss, threatened to drive him to the brink of despair. At his lowest point, fate interceded in the form of a book-Professor Spindlebrock's Little Blue Book of Traveling Spells. Convinced at first that the book is a joke, Thomas is persuaded to think otherwise when he inadvertently conjures up a bit of real magic. Burning with curiosity, he sets out to locate the author of this strange and powerful volume; and ends up tangled in an international web of mystery. With lives on the line, will he be able to help the professor before it's too late, or will his own latent powers mark him as the next victim?
