Dragonfire
Senior Lecturer Bill Dixon
This is where the dreams are--or the nightmares. "Snapdragon" is a narrative poem, accompanied by the author's original artwork, satirising modern life's preoccupation with self and self-image through the tale of a deluded, comical dragon. The dragon's foolish dreams echo the narcissistic preoccupations of many modern nations. "Snapdragon" is followed by "Analog," a vision of a dystopian world, and a number of other poems in a hard-hitting, bleak yet comical voice.
