You might like to come with me on a journey where you will trace my marriage along its path. Why? You may ask. My idea is to try to convey the reality of living with a man capable of extreme control, coated in a silver tongue, to get his own way. You will follow the true story of my life, from the day when I met the "Man of my Dreams", through the good, the bad and the ugly times, until the bitter end. Surviving domestic violence and publishing my story has made me aware of this destructive and often isolating situation, suffered by many people. It is rarely reported or talked about and my hope is to address the fact that it is possible to survive domestic violence and make a new life for yourself. Even in the shadows of darkness, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
